Hi,
I really enjoyed listening to your song, "Blood on Your Hands"--it definitely has a nice metal feel to it, with a lot of the rawness of the early days of speed metal. I have to ask, though, how does a nice boy in America's heartland come to write songs about the Holocaust? Forgive my ignorance, but I thought these issues were more or less ignored outside of the major Jewish areas. (I'm the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, and I also happen to enjoy the harder side of music, so I'm curious.)
Please keep up the good work, and if you have a mailing list, please put me on it.
Thanks

Subject: Hey!
Not bad!!!! I esp. like the song Solitare! Anyway, hope you can find more
members, and start some live gigs. Been thru Shelbyville, so I know finding
someone must be difficult. Good luck!
Mark,
I take no hesitancy in telling you that I have been listening to your songs
all day... my God, how truly AMAZING!!! You are ONE TALENTED writer
& guitarist.... I'm a music fiend myself... I go on tour sometimes with a
somewhat famous band that I kinda work for (xxxxxx) and wow.. I've met many
people. But this... what you have going with Imaginary Playmate, is
something like I've never heard before, and I LOVE it!! Do you & Thom have
any cd's available? Or will you??? I'm dying here! Anyhow... I just had
to say hello. And keep it going honey... wow. Not many guitarists
leave me speechless, as a matter of fact, you are one of the firsts!!!!
Mark,
I listened to your music from your site. I find it very
interesting. I usually don't go for that kinda music but this stuff I
found quite original. I was wondering if you would give me your
permission to play it over the internet. I do what they called
live audio streaming for a site called

Singing
during the verses is pretty weak. Though the chorus mildy rocks, the
lyrics are retarded. The guitar parts rock, however.

IMAGINARY PLAYMATE-IMAGINARY PLAYMATE (INDEPENDENT)
This band from the state of Indianapolis is formed around
multi-instrumentalist Mark Coers. He wrote and performed all of the music in
his own studio. Only the lead vocals are done by outsiders (Bill Colson and
Thom Luther). I have to add that for an independent record, this sure doesn't
sound bad, maybe it can not be compared with the big label recordings, but
still the sound and production quality of the music on the CD is pretty good.
The music on the CD has a very 80s meets 90s approach and sounds not unlike
acts such as LIZZY BORDEN and MALICE, while some KEEL similarities can also be
heard (especially in the melodic songs). The melodic metal of IMAGINARY
PLAYMATE sounds rather good and if you're a fan of the mentioned bands, then
this sure is interesting for you to check out. My favourite songs are the semi
rocker "Blood on your hands" and the midtempo "In my
chains", both being very melodic and featuring a catchy chorus. Check out
this band at: http://www.imaginaryplaymate.net
and e-mail at: mcoers@theinnet.net
Last but least: I really like the CD cover!

Mark Coers (gt, bs, keys, dr) from Indianapolis is the real soul of this project completede by Thom
Luther and Bill Colson on vocals. The sound is not so bad and helps Mark
offer his own tough heavy rock owing a lot to '80s bands like Lizzy Borden
and Keel.
The paced "Boold on your hands" and
"The death of Eleonor" will remember to the less young readers
that hystorical era, full of minor bands that, withouth touching the big
fame, contributed a lot with their passion to make a wide audience
familiar to this sound.
The vocals on "In my chains" are weak,
due to the sound, but is a track that Malice or early Icon would be proud
of, while "Mass folder", "Legion" and "One more
day" appeal to thrash metal fans, with those razor sharp guitars.
The cover image is very interesting, anyway music
is what matters, so contact Mark at: http://www.imaginaryplaymate.net
